This easy thick pancake recipe gives fluffy, tall pancakes with crisp edges and soft middles, perfect for cosy breakfasts when you fancy proper homemade pancakes at home at weekends often.
Makes: 6pancakes
Ingredients:
200gself-raising flour
1.5teaspoonsbaking powder
1tablespooncaster sugar
25gmelted butter
3eggs
200mlsmilk
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
Add all wet ingredients to dry and mix until you have a nice smooth batter
transfer into a jug for easy pouring
add a knob of butter to your frying pan and melt on a medium heat
once the butter is melted add some batter to the pan until you have your desired sized pancake. The pancake is ready to flip when you start to see the bubbles across the pancake.
Cook other side until golden brown...this could be as little as a minute.
