Kitchen Organisers I Can’t Live Without

get ready for some good ones!

All of these organisers have been with me for years and they have lasted and given me lots of after value. I find that if my kitchen is organised then I’m more motivated to cook and bake, that’s the after value!

1. Glass Storage Jars

These organisers have completely transformed my baking drawer, they’re a great place to start if you want to get your baking staples in order….mine are: self raising flour, plain flour, caster sugar, powered/icing sugar, brown sugar, chocolate chips, ground almonds and oats. I tend to use these in most recipes so it’s good to have them in stock. These jars come in a variety of sizes (round options too if you prefer) and both the jars and lids have handled the dishwasher perfectly.

2. Pull out drawer

I’ve always been a big fan of drawers in a kitchen but my new one is mostly cupboards. I found these self-adhesive pull out drawers on amazon (shop UK /shop USA ) and they’ve been the perfect solution for changing a shelf into a drawer. We had to add a small bracket to stop the shelf tipping which Jacob had in his tool kit (surprising actually lol!). An after value I have noticed is that I no longer have to reach all the way to the back of the drawer, or bend over as much since installing them.

When buying: These come in different widths so measure before you buy. Make sure you leave a little room for movement you don’t want them to fit too snugly.

3. The Lazy Susan

The amount of places you can use a lazy Susan is incredible. They are just so fab for lots of random things that need to be stored together, for example, cleaning products and beauty products. You can buy them plain (shop here) or with sections (shop here). The lazy Susan with sections is great for beauty as the bottles tend to be smaller. Also great in the kitchen for herbs and spices and baking bits depending on your storage situation. I also love them in the fridge!

As these are round and shelves are square people tend to think they are not using the space. This is not true because the aim is to make good use of the space. Think about the after value of turning the lazy Susan to access your bits rather than pulling everything out to get to the back. Organisation is about making everything accessible, not using every inch of space in your home. Space is good!

When buying: Its good to get the Lazy Susan with the higher sides as your items as less likely to fall over or out when you turn it.

4. Pan Organiser

This is extendable, so fits in most size cupboards. I had a wide cupboard in the last house and sat 2 side by side which worked great. The sections are removable so you can move them to suit the size of your pans. This is why it’s so brilliant, it doesn’t matter how many different sizes you have. I have had mine for years and when someone asks me how they should organise their pans this is what I recommend.
