What you are about to learn

here’s your after value…

In this blog we will look at how to store jeans for a shelf and also drawers. Along the way I will show you equipment that I think keep me more organised and tidy. Can’t fold jeans yet? Let’s start with a tutorial…

piles or baskets?

There are two ways you can approach this. Firstly, you can fold the jeans into piles. The most practical way to approach each pile is to make sure the jeans you wear the most are at the top. This may not leave you with the most aesthetic look but it will give you the most after value – time and tidy wise. If your piles are quite high then shelf dividers are handy to give them support and prevent them from falling over and getting messy.

The second way to approach storing jeans on a shelf is to use my drawer fold and file fold the jeans into baskets. Make sure you measure height and width of your space before ordering baskets. It is important to leave a little height to allow you to pull the basket out.

drawer dividers for the win

For a drawer use my drawer fold and then file fold them into rows. You can use drawer dividers if you wish but jeans are very sturdy so don’t always require a divider. Drawer dividers may be useful if you are keeping more that one type of clothing or more than one persons clothing in the same drawer. They create nice compartments for this.

If your drawers are deep make sure you keep you most worn jeans to the from for easy access. And don’t forget your most worn may change from season to season so it’s perfectly normal to have a RESET.
